Just Rompin’ Around!

All dressed up and ready to go!

I just got back from a quick trip to Montréal. I brought this adorable Ganni jumpsuit with me as I knew it would pack well (fabric is meant to be wrinkled) and would be easy to wear. After 6+ hours in the car from home to the hotel with 2 pit stops in between - the first to drop off the kids with Aunt Mimi (thank you!!!) - my husband and I finally arrived. After check-in I was able to pull this out and toss it on to make our dinner reservation with time to spare!

If you are a fan of this look which honestly is a flashback to the actual child free days of my youth, let me show you how you can get it for yourself!

Black Romper

What I wore: Ganni past season even though this is the first time I took it for a spin. Ganni is a fun brand that is also socially and environmentally conscious that has a great energetic vibe. To shop Ganni and get a 10% discount use this link: GANNI

Here’s some romper, or if you prefer, jumpsuit, options to get the look for yourself. The Blencot jumpsuit is very close! I also added a non-wide leg version.

Studded Bag

What I wore: The All My Heart Pouch (due to the adorable heart carabiner) is available at Aimee Kestenberg on sale and with an additional 15% off available if you act now.

Here’s some black studded bags that share a similar bling aesthetic.

Black Platform Fisherman / Gladiator Sandals

What I wore: Free People Pacific Platform shoe from Nordstrom was the perfect shoe for navigating all the cobblestones with its platform rubber soles for cushioning. It also has an ankle strap for added support. Wore them straight out of the box for more than 4 hours of dining and strolling.

These sandals look like they may be similar in comfort as well as style!

Multi Colored Scarf/Bandanna

What I wore: Using a much loved square Zara scarf I decided to break up this monochromatic look with a pop of sophisticated multi color fun. You can do the same by adding a simple scarf or bandanna folded in half like a triangle, rolled lengthwise and then simply tied in a knot. It’s amazing how such a small touch can really elevate your style!

Here’s some ideas if you don’t have any on hand.

Beaded Necklace

What I wore: This simple seed beaded necklace of red semi-precious stones is just the touch to add a bit of color around my face. I hate to wear lipstick when I am eating and wanted a little bit of a rosy glow. It also is a nice contrast for my black outfit and dark hair even with summer highlights! My necklace was purchased locally at Siren @siren_boutique. Maria has a great selection of clothing and accessories and is always willing to help above and beyond.

Some bright necklace options for you are also available below.

Steel Watch

What I wore: My tried and true Gucci “men’s” watch which is obviously for anyone who wants to wear it. Its clean white face and simple design never goes out of style.

Here’s some timeless looks for your wrist!
