What are men’s “dress casual” shoes?

It’s a shoe that you would wear when you want to convey a relaxed upscale look for the office - khakis, anyone? - or date night at a nice restaurant where there are linen napkins and valet parking. You may wear them without socks, or as I recommend, hidden socks - get the look without the discomfort! They are not usually tie shoes but more of a loafer aesthetic. An unfussy style, they ooze OOO (checking a message occasionally). Conversely, you can achieve a dress casual look with a sneaker if the sneaker is less athletic and more shoe-like which usually means a more streamlined sleek look. Both of these are staples that will serve any wardrobe well.
