Sunshine in a nail polish bottle
To stop these gray winter days from getting me down, I painted my nails this bright perfect mix of coral and watermelon. The result was an instant mood lift! Every time I look at my nails I feel a rush of dopamine. I love how it’s cheery brightness pops against the black of my winter coat. This color is appropriately named “Good Vibes Only” and it really makes me smile every time I catch a glimpse. It conjures up the promise of sunny beach days and unrushed dinners with stunning sunsets. It makes mundane tasks like washing dishes a little less drab. This L.A. Girls Gel GNL919 “Good Vibes Only” is sunshine in a bottle for less than $5 at CVS, Rite-Aid or Target. That’s right, all this happiness for less than 5 bucks. Go ahead, treat yourself!
Another one of my favorite bright sets is Naked In Neon Nail Polish set from NAILS.INC available at Sephora for $22.00 ($44.00 value). I love mixing and matching the brights and the greige is the perfect balancing act if you want to add a neutral element to tone down your style statement.
If you are just looking for a pure injection of vitamin C - the C being for color - then this bright pink and orange duo called Freshly Juiced also from NAILS.INC is on sale for $11.00 at Sephora.
Some more bright color inspiration, this is an image from my color stripe experimentation this past summer. My tan hands are a giveaway! Basically you can use whatever colors you desire but I like mixing and matching brights and lights and a strip of metallic gold here and there. But anything goes! Do what makes you happy! Have fun!
If you want to try the above color combinations I am posting similar colors all by LaPierre Cosmetics. It’s an eco-friendly nail polish brand and is sold at Macy’s.
